These are the things shown
by Mirabella, by grace.
All else remains unknown.
Sunk to a low place,
even I was raised up
By Mirabella, by grace.
Mind blank, drained cup,
broken heart, bitter soul,
even I was raised up.
Her words could make me whole:
"Listen well," she said to me.
"You bitter heart, you broken soul."
"No heavenly secrets will you see,
more important things await,
so listen well," she said to me.
"Do not fret about your fate
know this: you are blessed,
but more important things await."
"In all the land, from east to west
Though many are starving and cold
know always you are blessed"
"In cities of glass and gold
you celebrate your great wealth,
yet many are starving and cold"
"Give thanks for good health;
no-one knows what lies ahead,
so celebrate your great wealth."
Stunned and trembling, I said:
"I've escaped a wretched fate,
but no-one knows what lies ahead!"
"By the god on whom I wait
This grace is given, thus
I've escaped a wretched fate!"
She said "No," furious.
"God does not choose, men do!
That grace is given thus!"
Then I wept, for I knew
how deeply cursed are we,
For god does not choose, but men do!
"You still don't understand" said she,
Spare me your words of guilt and shame
words of 'How deeply cursed are we'"
"It will all be the same
For all your wretchedness
Spare me your words of guilt and shame"
"They do nothing to clean up the mess
Find some other, better cure
For all your wretchedness."
At that, I saw her disappear
And I knew not what else to do
but, "Find some other, better cure"
I know these things are true
All else remains unknown
And I know not what to do
These are the things shown
By Mirabella, by grace
All else remains unknown.
