Etin went wandering alone
To get in some thinking away from home
There he wandered without a care
Until something gave him a terrible scare
A blue light lit the woods around
And Etin soon realized just what he had found
He saw what none could comprehend
And thought it could bring his cares to an end
"Wise spirit, tell me what you see,
Do you bear knowledge of what is to be?
Tell me please I have to know"
The Blue Haunt answered "it might be so"
"Great spirit, the woman, is she
Only cold now but my lover to be
Is that the way our love will go?"
The Blue Haunt answered, "it might be so"
"As a teacher have I done well?
And will the girl one day ring the bell
Way down in the Valley Low?"
The Blue Haunt answered, "it might be so"
Etin went happily back home
Confident and sure, no longer alone
Whether it might be or no
He resolved to continue as though it were so
